You Don’t Need a “Well-Behaved” Dog to Have Beautiful Photos
This can be done on a long lead. With the magic of editing - leash gone!
If you’ve ever thought “I’d love photos, but my dog wouldn’t cope” — you’re not alone.
I hear it all the time.

I hear things like:
No we couldn’t, he’s anxious.
She’s reactive.
He NEVER sits still.
She doesn’t really like people or dogs.
He can be really embarrassing.
And this makes me a little sad, if I’m honest. Because that often means people presume they have to miss out on a beautiful, meaningful portrait experience with their dog.
The truth is, you actually don’t. Because, I take my time with every dog I photograph.
I’m always mindful of not placing too much social pressure on them, and we move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable.
If your dog needs more than one pre-shoot meeting, that is completely fine. I have done multiple visits before, and I am more than happy to do it again.
Every session is tailored to suit you and your dog.
That might mean photographing them at home, where they feel most secure, or arranging access to a private location if that is a better fit.
You might already be aware, but I am also a qualified dog behaviour trainer, and I work alongside assistants who are qualified trainers. So honestly, we truly do have your back.
Safety, comfort and a genuinely low stress experience are at the soul of everything we do. For your dog, and for YOU.
So many of my clients thought their shoot would be stressful and their dogs wouldn’t do anything right, when in fact the session was chill and their dog was an actual super-star!
Still not convinced? Are you sure your dog is worst than most? I’m sure they’re not. Please do get in touch and we’ll discuss it.
